Lard traces fast — work quickly after combining. Pour at light-to-medium trace. Gel phase is recommended.
Bay rum fragrance oil at 5% for a classic barbershop scent. Or leave unscented for a truly old-fashioned bar.
Leave plain white for authenticity, or use annatto seed infusion in the oils for a warm golden color.
4 weeks minimum. Lard bars are usable early but improve up to 8 weeks. Extremely long shelf life.
