Traditional soapmaking fats from animal sources
Animal fats like lard and tallow have been used in soap making for centuries. They produce exceptionally hard, white bars with a creamy lather and excellent skin feel. Tallow is particularly valued for its balanced fatty acid profile, creating bars that are gentle yet long-lasting. They can be used at 30-100% of a recipe.
