Oils pressed from tree nuts, rich in oleic acid and vitamins
Pressed from tree nuts, these oils are rich in oleic acid and vitamins E and A. They produce mild, conditioning bars with excellent skin feel. Sweet almond oil is a popular base oil for gentle soaps, while macadamia nut oil contains palmitoleic acid that closely mimics human sebum. Typically used at 5-20% of a recipe.
Balanced Amazonian nut oil. Moderate conditioning with decent bar hardness.
High-oleic luxury oil. Mildly astringent — good for oily skin bars.
Hawaiian candlenut oil. Extremely conditioning but very high iodine — use under 10%.
Contains palmitoleic acid that mimics skin sebum. Luxurious feel, excellent shelf life.
