Individual fatty acids used for precise soap formulation control
Pure fatty acids give formulators precise control over soap properties. Stearic acid dramatically increases hardness and creates a dense, creamy lather. Lauric acid boosts cleansing and bubbly lather. Oleic acid contributes conditioning. Using pure fatty acids lets you fine-tune specific soap qualities without the other fatty acids that come with whole oils. Typically used at 1-10%.
