Specialty oils bring unique properties that base oils cannot provide. Castor oil dramatically boosts lather, jojoba oil closely mimics skin sebum for superior moisturizing, and avocado oil adds vitamins and richness. Used in small percentages (typically 2-10%), specialty oils elevate a basic recipe into a premium formulation.
Liquid gold for luxury bars. Small amounts add marketing appeal and skin benefit.
The lather booster. Even 5% dramatically increases bubbles and cling. Never use over 15% alone.
Green coffee bean oil. Adds hardness and natural caffeine — great for exfoliating bars.
Japan Wax is a soap-making wax used in handmade soap that supports hardness and creamy lather. Typical usage stays below 15% of total oils. It is vegan and palm-free.
